on saturday, 2 May, we supposed to go NgongPing360. but dear oh dear… they were closed for only God knows. and we only received the email notification when we first arrived in HK. too bad i couldn’t see the big buddha and the ngongping village and took the cable car. well, the big buddha and the village was open, but we must go there by bus while we already excited about taking the glass cable car. cable car was closed. my friend said it was probably due to the strong winds, so the official must shut it down until the winds come back normal. <(￣ ﹌ ￣)>
anyhow, we decided to go Ladies Market in Mongkok or known as Tong Choi. it was quite early when we arrived there, some of the stores was not open yet. my friend bought a set box of chopsticks and sandals which i helped to bargain. my low bargain level in my home country has made me an expert in this market! HA! i bought some souvernirs. then we had our lunch at an italian restaurant nearby. we were in HK but we keep on having western food! ･ﾟ･(｡>ω<｡)･ﾟ･
afternoon, we headed to IFC Mall once again. i don’t remember much what we did there since we didn’t go for shopping inside the mall. it was an expensive mall same as shopping malls in Singapore. nothing new for us. so we just sat at starbuck and enjoying our free wifi. few hours later, we decided to move to the bus station going to the tram terminal. along the way to the bus station, we stopped by and had some selfies. (￣▽￣*)ゞ
we waited aruond 30 minutes for the bus to come and pick us. in front of us was the famous Cindy W*ang! she was lovely as seen on tv and commercials. i was so excited and really wanted to ask for picture or a sign, but somehow i didn’t do that. She was wearing a normal shirt, short and high heels. and we could see the blisters all around her ankles. and she was with a middle-aged man. and oh! i think i forgot to mention, there are quite a lot of koreans in HK and Macao.
below is the famous Taiwanese superstar. i grabbed this picture from her fb. (*ﾉ∀`*)
arrived at the tram station which supposed to take us to the Victoria Peak, the queue was suuuper long and snaking, then cross the street, and another long snaking queue. it was almost 6PM when we arrived there, and we didn’t expect the queue will be this crazy. disappointed, me and my friend decided to walk around the station anyway. but what we found next was excite us more than joining the crazy queue to take us to the peak: it was St. John’s Cathedral!! and the Mass has just started! we rushed inside the church and sat at the very back of the seat row. even though we didn’t understand the language, but obviously the roman catholic’s rite is always the same anywhere in the world and we did enjoy it. <(￣︶￣)>
the picture i took below was blurry, because it was already dark when we took this picture. i edited as much as i can so we could see a bit clearer.
we took taxi back to the hotel after the Mass ended. we just walked around the hotel. there’s a quite nice local noodle store nearby the hotel. then we walked around bought the most famous kowloon milk and some more snacks and souvenirs, enjoying the last night of HK. (っ˘ω˘ς )
the next day, we checked out early morning from the hotel, then rushed to the airport by a taxi. we shopped some more at the airport before our flight back to Singapore. Hongkong was nice! i don’t mind visit this country few times more! ヽ(*⌒▽⌒*)ﾉ
