Day-1: Cruise To Nowhere [Destination: Nowhere] 🚢

Day-1: Cruise To Nowhere [Destination: Nowhere] 🚢

Monday, 10th May 2021, sunny.

Our check-in time was 3PM. That means me and my stateroommate ciMel, had ample of time to enjoy our lunch at Berseh Food Centre before heading to our departure gate. We checked-in our luggage instead so we don’t need to carry around. <( ̄︶ ̄)>

Departure location: Marina Bay Cruise Centre

Address: 61 Marina Coastal Drive, SG 018947

It’s quite a walk from Marina Bay MRT station. I recommend you to take bus #400 and stop at Opposite Marina South Pier Station or take a cab instead.

Onboard, let me take you to the free activities where you don’t need to spend more $$$ unless you want to.

Massive rows of balconies from the gangway.

Once we were onboard, we required to attend short briefing about the cruise – which I can’t even bother what that was. From there we were allow to check our stateroom. We stayed at deck 7, corner room with slightly bigger balcony. Our room was reasonably large for two persons and extremely clean. ☆ ~(‘▽^人)

After resting for few minutes in our room while also trying to turn on the wifi and booked our activities from Royall Caribbean Mobile App, we then walked around the cruise, getting ourselves familiar with the surrounding and trying to find out where all the activities and free food were located.

Our first stop was Windjammer – a buffet place where price already included in the ticket. From South-East Asian, East Asian, South Asian and Western, most of them remind me of the past holidays. We sat at the outdoor deck enjoying the wind stroking our tangled hair.

Another FOC food place was 24 hours Sorrento’s pizza (opening time was reduced due to strict rules from covid situation). And by the way, Sorrento has the best pizza onboard – and you have to believe me! It was not only free-of-charge and service was superb, but also the only pizza place here. Other than their tasty pizzas, they also offer coffee, tea, fruit punch, cute deserts and salad. Walk-in anytime between 6am to 3am.

From there, I went for bumper car, they called it dodgem cars, which was one of the recommended activity here. A gentle reminder for those taking bumper cars, please go cray and bump all the other cars! This is not a time to be civilized.

Moving on. We gathered around 815pm for dinner at the Main Dining Room. A fancy FOC restaurant which only opens at certain timing, we had to booked in advance. Although food from this main restaurant looks very appetizing compare to the buffet place, to me they were not as tasty as buffet place. I literally skipped the last dinner here, was had food coma from pizza and didn’t think I had room left for their not-so-scrumptious food.

Later that evening I watched live piano performance at the Schooner Bar and live guitar performance at Boleros Bar. Around 10 or 11pm 4 ladies went to adult indoor pool Solarium for a relaxing dip and our last glass of cocktails for the day – cocktails here are not free.

Guess that was it for our Day-1.

I’ll tell you tomorrow if I had the gut to do flowrider. ( ̄ω ̄)
