Since i never want to go to work on my birthday, i took leave today and decided to have a great time with myself. I started with waking up so late. After I had my rainbow cake my colleague bought me yesterday for breakfast, off I went to Shaw Theater to watch Angry Birds. The movie wasn’t so bad, and it has a beautiful moral story.
Around 3PM, I decided to make a move to Gardens By The Bay. They were having Lily shows, called Lilitopia. I am not a fans of Lily, but I am certainly fans of all flowers and animals (I guess). So here are the pictures I took with my Sony phone.
my dearie dearie reader,
this fun map might help you to walk around Penang and hunt down all those street art while you’re in town. Penang is not a big city, you can go anywhere around the Georgetown area by walk. Just follow this map and have fun!!
… continue day-3, Friday 15 April 2016,
This is my last meal before I left Penang and back to Singapore. The need of fast wifi connection almost brought me back to Snapdot, but finally I found this The Safe Room Café not too far from the hotel–since I needed to go back hotel and take taxi there to airport. This café located at 42, Lebuh Campbell, George Town, 10100 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
Since I left with less than 30 minutes to finish my dinner and rush back to airport, I only managed to ordered tomyam spaghetti. But this dish was SUPERB!!! This was the best western+eastern food combination I have ever tried! ヽ(♡‿♡)ノ
day-3, Friday 15 April 2016,
Last day in Penang, but my day started a bit late. I still had to accompany my parents until they left to airport at 1PM, only then I could start my solo-exploration. The hotel offered us a tourist map where they have all the street arts location. And turned out most of the street arts were just walking distance from our hotel! ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ
But before that! Morning before my parents left to airport, we walked around the hotel and found a wet market! Mom was so happy and she is a haggle expert! We managed to buy some stuffs at the wet market. Then we found a traditional Penang snacks store called Ban Heang, at Jalan Macalister. I bought some snacks for friends and colleagues before we heading back hotel and had lunch at the hotel ground floor.
none of my friends believe it was very crowded full of people when i visited Chinese Garden today. they said, my pictures didn’t say so. well. it called “patience”. sometimes we need a lot of patience to take a single perfect picture. <(￣︶￣)>
well my pictures aren’t perfect, and i only use my sony xperia (not a professional camera), but i like taking pictures to sharpened my photographic skill. (*´︶`*)
i LOOOOOVE dinosaurs!! (maybe i should become an archeologist?) and i love how my friends accompanied me to this exhibition! ⌒(o＾▽＾o)ノ
once in a while… i think it’s good to enjoy this country as a tourist, not as a worker like i used to be. the rain has just stopped–not too hot, not too humid–and so i think it’s a good time to go out and explore this lion city. i decided to go Haw Par Villa. <(￣︶￣)>
a lot of statues with chinese folklore written in 3 languages; chinese, english and melayu. which were the 3 main languages in singapore. there are also miniature pagodas and Buddha statues. even though the statues need maintenance, but as a tourist i quite enjoy it. (´｡• ᵕ •｡`)
